BYD Rolls Out Its 10 Millionth Electric Compressor

On March 6, 2026, BYD’s Air-Conditioning Factory announced the successful roll-off of its 10 millionth electric compressor.

The compressor adopts Hall sensor technology, with a minimum operating speed as low as 100 rpm, oil-gas separation efficiency of 30%, and a displacement of 45 cc (expandable to 57 cc).

According to news released on March 2, 2026, Meizhi and the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering have developed a carbon-based protective material, achieving a friction coefficient ≤ 0.01 on the compressor pump body surface, with significantly improved wear resistance and film-substrate bonding strength > 70 N.
