"**What this part does**
Seals the joints between the compressor housings and sets the correct joint thickness, so refrigerant gas and oil cannot leak out at discharge pressure.
**Where it is installed**
The Compressor Gasket (front, middle & rear, original, front, centre, rear) is located between the compressor housings — cylinder block, valve plate and cylinder head (front, middle and rear joints).
**Symptoms of a failed gasket**
A worn or damaged gasket shows up as one or more of these symptoms:
- Oil seepage or oily dust along the housing joints
- Bubbles or a hiss at a housing joint during a leak test
- Refrigerant loss and the system needing constant recharging
- Cooling performance falling away over a few weeks
- A gasket found crushed, blown out, hardened or broken when the joint is opened
**When to replace**
Replace the gasket every time a housing joint is opened. Never re-use an old gasket — it takes a set and will leak.
**Why choose this part**
Supplied as a direct replacement for the original part. Always compare the dimensions, hole layout and finish with your original part before ordering.
**Ordering note**
Gaskets are matched by profile, bolt-hole pattern, port cut-outs and thickness — compare with the original gasket before ordering.
