"**What this part does**
Seals the pump shaft against its housing so the pumped fluid cannot escape along the shaft and contaminate the surrounding area.
**Where it is installed**
The Oil Pump Seal is located on the pump shaft, between the shaft and the pump housing.
**Symptoms of a failed pump seal**
A worn or damaged pump seal shows up as one or more of these symptoms:
- Fluid weeping from the pump shaft area
- Oil or coolant contamination affecting the refrigerant circuit
- Seal face pitted, cracked or worn when the pump is opened
- Progressive fluid loss with no other visible leak
**When to replace**
Replace whenever the pump is opened, or as soon as weeping is found at the shaft.
**Why choose this part**
Supplied as a direct replacement for the original part. Always compare the dimensions, hole layout and finish with your original part before ordering.
**Ordering note**
Confirm the shaft diameter and housing bore match the original seal before ordering.
